a day in the furnace…

…and I mean that figuratively and literally actually.  It was in the high 90’s yesterday, which happened to be the day that a group of fellow Pittsburgh photographer’s were meeting up at the Carrie Blast Furnace. Fortunately, the furnace has been abandoned for years so it wasn’t nearly as hot as it could have been!  I took my tripod with me for this trip so I could try my hand at HDR processing and I’m very happy I did, hope you enjoy them.  However, it wasn’t long before I traded cameras to reclaim my Nikon and the nifty-fifty so I could get some lovely rust shots.  I do love some nice rusty details.
