A few years ago at Phipps Conservatory in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, there was an exhibit of works by the glass sculpture Frabel.  A few of the pieces from that exhibit are now permanent items at Phipps and live in the orchid room.  I obsessively photograph them on every visit with no deviation today, but there was one key difference.  Today, my camera was equipped my new toy– the Nikkor 55-300mm f4.5/5.6.  And I finally got some shots that I’m very excited about.

  1. These really are great! Love the hand beckons in the 1st and the eyes beckon in the 2nd. Curiosity expressed by the figure in 3 & 4 is wonderful too. You’ve really made these talk!

Any thoughts?
