goldenrod and graves

On our way to Pymatuning State Park, we passed a wonderful old churchyard with graves overgrown with goldenrod.   This was on Friday, during the golden hour, so everything glowed exquisitely.Unfortunately, the golden hour means sunset is quickly approaching and setting up a tent in the dark is never fun! so I didn’t stop.  I consoled myself with the plan of stopping for a bit on our way home, at that point I did not realize it would be a dreary grey rainy day.  None-the-less, I stopped and got my jeans soaked for the drive home, but I think it was worth it… what about you?

  1. Love the set. I think the dreariness has actually helped define your toning here. I know it’s a cliché, but cems are one of the few places where nice weather isn’t an absolute must for winning images.

Any thoughts?
